 Changing of seasons
« Thread Started on Sept 13, 2008, 8:51pm »

The sun was shining brightly and it had entered the window of the Gryffindor tower in the Girls' Dorm. April had turned over to keep the light from her eyes, but she could still feel the heat of the sun rays beating down on her exposed skin. She turned back around and put her hand in front her face. Groggily, April got out of bed and went to the mirror. She shook her head at the sight of her messed up hair and picked up a brush and tried to comb through it. Today was a Saturday, which meant she had the whole day to goof off. April went through her trunk and found her favorite pair of jeans and her black shirt. It was also the middle of Autumn, so she thought it be best to put a light jacket on.

April wasn't hungry so she missed breakfast entirely and headed straight outside. The air felt so nice. It wasn't hot or too cold, it was just the perfect temperature, which was rare at Hogwarts. Luckily, April had a hair tie with her and she pulled her hair up to feel the crisp air hit her face. April continued to walk and she saw many other students outside playing in big piles of leaves or gathering leaves to jump in later. A few of them waved at her and she waved back. She didn't feel like joining them though. Instead she found a large oak tree near the black lake and sat down. This was so relaxing, April could have gone back to sleep. This was perfect.
