Dear Juliet,
I know, it's been long since I've seen you and I'm sorry that I can't tell you as to the where about I am, I truly am sorry. I understand your fear of us loosing track on time and moving on with out the other, but, Jule, I promise when we're old we're gonna be best friends still. Chasing each other around in our motor scooters all day long. We've been friends for so long, and long distance like this won't come between us! I'm sure my ma' and pa' will be fine with me staying with you for the summer, maybe we could get in to the writing school we've always wanted to attend together! Just hold on tight, and we'll see each other soon. Just remember to keep your head up, gorgeous, because there are people killing to see you fall.

Body swaying, focused in thought, Mandy Brocklehurst sat in the Great Hall at the end of the table where no one else was. Students eat their breakfasts, and talked to their fellow students. Then, there sat Mandy, head phones on and all her attention was in la la land, doodling on the side of the piece of parchment she wrote her friend's letter on. She dipped the tip of her quill in the ink, going back to doodling again. Not a very talkative girl, many knew that just from classes, and whens he did speak it was soft and sweet, very short amount of words. Oh, but she could write pages and pages on just the Incendio Spell.
Elizabeth, Mandy's mother, always figured the reason Mandy could write so much and yet hardly talk was because she never had any family or friends too close to her growing up. That is, besides her friend Juliet who she had met when she was 5 in California, the two always spoke on the phone and sent letters to each other no matter where Mandy was in the U.S. Juliet and Mandy where great friends, and when Mandy moved to Illinois it took her even longer to get used to staying there. She was miles and miles from her best friend. 9 years later, the two still wrote to each other and spent as many vacations together as they could.
Mandy never was too social, but she never minded it, all she thought she needed was one good friend to talk to, writing utensils and music to get her through and that's how she is. Mandy let out a happy sigh as she continued to doodle a picture of a raven, a very sketchy and detailed drawing. She looked up for a second, seeing lots of students talking their mouths off and stuffing their faces. Lightly, she chuckled at a kid who had dropped a piece of chicken on his lap and didn't even notice? Moving her attention back down to her parchment, she read the letter to her self scanning all of it with her eyes. Now, all I have to do is send it to her, she thought.
